Call To Persevere

A recipe is defined as a process that is likely to lead to a particular outcome. I believe this one to be a great one. This is a recipe for so many things. For acceptance. For contentment. Overflowing thanksgiving. For life. Life in abundance.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrew 10:23-25
Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. Hebrews 10: 32-36

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4

There are tons of recipes for life in the Word of God. Yet so often we forget them. Or we forget to look for them? That’s why I make so many of these designs. Because I, myself, need to be reminded. I need to remember the earlier days when I first met the Lord and all He has brought me through since. Every story different, yet, one common thread. He is always there. Through every trial and tribulation. Every joy and every sorrow. He is there. And this is the hope that we can hold unswervingly to. He is here.  When I remember this truth, I can push through. I can trust. We can trust. We can encourage others, even in our discouragement. We can face trials head on, knowing that the Lord is leading us through. And it is here that we can find joy in all circumstances. Because our very joy is wrapped up in the Lord himself and the fact that He is with us, and in us, and beside us the whole way. Then we get to the other side and realize that we have conquered one more thing. Then we make a stone altar to remind us for the next trial. Because there is always a next trial. But, we are stronger for it. Stronger each time. Until the day we are lacking in nothing. So stick with it my friend. Stick with it.

I hope this printable will remind you, or someone you know, of this very thing and can be a source of encouragement. That is my hope and prayer for every thing I design here at The Spirit Orchard.
